Who is up to the challenge of filling the shoes of Brother Mario Cervantes, Local 839 member. He has 23yrs of service as the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison with

United Way of the Plains and is preparing for retirement. Facebook statement by United Way of the Plains "Mario has been a driving force behind our work, leading some of our largest workplace campaigns and inspiring thousands of employees to give back. But his impact goes far beyond fundraising. He coordinated statewide community service conferences for Labor, organized countless volunteer events with local unions, and even founded a food pantry to serve our most vulnerable neighbors. He also played a vital role as lead coordinator of our annual Flags of Freedom event, which honors military service members while connecting local veterans to critical wrap-around support." So now labor needs a new champion to fill this role. Any IAM Union members interested in answering this call. You can click the link below and submit your name.

"This position could be a powerful way to strengthen the connection between organized labor and community organizations working for economic justice." said Jake Lowen Director of Wichita / Hutchinson Labor Federation
